Steelie Design is constantly working to make every aspect of operations greener, more sustainable, and all around more ethically sound. It’s an organic process, where each tiny improvement inherently betters every future collaboration.
Every project printed through Steelie Design is FSC-certified. This means all aspects of the printing and paper-handling processes are certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) – an international certification and labeling system dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.
Steelie Design strives to ensure that all printed items use the most environmentally friendly inks available. That means printing offset using only vegetable-/ plant-based inks and printing large-format products using eco-friendly pigments.
Eco-friendly toner for colour laser printing is less readily available, so only suppliers who adhere to proper recycling procedure and environmentally-friendly disposal practices.
Energy Star–compliant products are given first consideration when buying new electronic office equipment. As older equipment gets retired, it’s either, repurposed, given a new home or recycled responsibly, then replaced by an Energy Star–compliant successor.
