Technical Drawings – Parks Canada

Part of the requirements for the Parks Canada Identity Program’s Exterior Signage Standards and Guidelines was to create an appendix that showed technical drawings for sign fabrication and assembly.

I was the sole designer on the team responsible for creating over 80 individual, to-scale, technical drawings – isometric, plan and elevation – to illustrate proper/approved methods for fabrication and assembly.

The level of accuracy with which these drawings were created actually allowed us to discover sizing/spacing flaws in the original designs, which we were then able to correct before anyone started fabrication.
